HAMBURGER CASSEROLE


ingredients

6 medium potatoes, diced
1 lb. hamburger
1 medium onion, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp. butter
milk (enough to lightly cover casserole)
shredded cheese (optional)

preparation

Preheat oven to 400°. Boil diced potatoes until tender. Drain. Brown hamburger and onion until done. Put potatoes and hamburger in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Add salt, pepper and butter. Stir together. Pour milk over top until lightly covered. Can put shredded cheese on top, if desired. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes.
