BOSTON BROWN BREAD OR BUG BREAD


ingredients

2 3/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. shortening
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. water
2 c. raisins

preparation

Simmer water and raisins for 15 minutes. Add dry ingredients. Bake for 1 hour at 350°.
