BOSTON BROWN BREAD OR BUG BREAD
2 3/4 c. flour1 c. sugar2 tsp. soda1 tsp. salt1 Tbsp. shortening1 egg1 tsp. vanilla2 c. water2 c. raisins
Simmer water and raisins for 15 minutes. Add dry ingredients. Bake for 1 hour at 350°.
