Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

 

1 c. flour

¾ c. granulated sugar

3 Tbsp. cocoa

2 tsp. baking power

¼ tsp. Salt

½ c. milk

2 Tbsp. shortening, melted

1 c. finely chopped nuts

1 c. Brown sugar packed

¼ c. cocoa

1 ¾ c. hot water

 

Directions

 

Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Measure flour, sugar, three Tbsp. cocoa, baking powder and salt into bowl.  Blend in milk and melted shortening.  Stir in nuts.  Pour into ungreased 9x9x2’‘ square baking pan.  Stir together brown sugar and ¼ cup cocoa, sprinkle over batter.  Gently pour hot water over all and bake 45 minutes. Serve hot by cutting into squares and inverting each onto dessert plate.  Spoon sauce over.
