Grandma Ogg’s Sticky Buns

 

2 c. potato water

1 c. sugar

1 c. butter

1 tsp. salt

2 cubes yeast

4 eggs

8 c. flour

2-3 Tbsp. water per pan

 

Soften yeast in a little water, then add other ingredients and mix together.  Knead until smooth – let rise.  Roll out into rectangles.  Spread dough with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Roll up and cut into 1 ˝ inch slices.

In pans, put brown sugar, pats of butter and walnuts and a little sprinkle of water, then put slices on top and bake at 325 to 350 degrees until brown.  Turn out immediately.
