French Onion Soup

3 onions, sliced

1 tsp. Worcestershire

2 cloves garlic minced

¼ c. butter

1 tsp. paprika

3 c. beef broth (canned or from cubes)

¼ c. red wine

¼ c. white wine

¼ tsp. pepper

1 Tbsp. parsley (chopped)

1 Tbsp. green onions (chopped)

4 slices French bread toasted

1 c. shredded Swiss cheese

In large pan, sauté onions and garlic until golden brown.  Add broth, wines and all seasonings.  Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer.  Cover and cook 30 minutes.

Ladle soup into 4 ovenproof bowls – top with French toast slice and shredded Swiss cheese.  Run bowls under broiler until cheese melts.  Serve immediately and become a legend. Ha ! Ha !
