Dorothy Bailey's Fudge Dessert

Ingredients

4 eggs

2 c. sugar

dash of salt

1 1/2 sticks melted oleo

2 heaping Tbsp. cocoa

3/4 c. sifted flour

1 c. broken pecans

1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

Beat eggs well, add sugar and beat well. Dissolve cocoa in melted oleo and add to egg mixture. Add sifted flour and other ingredients. Pour into a lightly butteres large pie dish. Place dish in a pan of water (about 1/2 inch). Bake about 45 min. at 350 degrees. The dessert will have a thick sauce at the bottom, and a crispy top. Cut into slices and serve with vanilla ice cream on top. Do not overcook. (Use cold water in the pan you set the dessert in. This is very rich, but sinfully delicious!
