Peel and slice potatoes. Put half of potatoes in 9 x 13 inch casserole dish. Cover with half of sugar and margarine. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover with strips of pastry. Add another layer of potatoes, sugar, margarine and cinnamon. Mix flavoring with milk or water and pour over all. Cover with pastry. Bake at 375° for 1 hour. This recipe can easily be cut in half and made in an 8 inch square dish. |
