1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. flour

Mix well and chill. Roll to 1/4-inch thick on floured board and cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and frost or decorate as desired.
