Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk in double boiler. Mix cake mix, margarine, 1/3 cup evaporated milk and nuts. Press 1/2 of mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chips over this crust; pour the caramel mix on and dab the remaining cake mixture on top. Bake an additional 15 to 20 minutes at 350°. Let cool. Cut in squares. |
