In a large bowl, stir together sugars, flour, baking powder and salt. In another bowl mix together milk, butter, eggs and vanilla until blended. Make a well in center of dry ingredients. Add milk mixture and stir to combine. Stir in chips and nuts. Spoon batter into greased muffin cups; grease the edges around cups. Bake in 400° oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean. Remove muffins from oven and cool 5 minutes. Remove from pans and cool on rack. Serve warm or cold. Makes 12 large muffins. |
