Brown ground beef with onion and garlic in large saucepan. Drain fat. Cut up tomatoes; add tomatoes and juice, tomato paste, water, mushrooms, bay leaf, oregano, basil, salt and pepper. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat and cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf. Serve over cooked pasta. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Makes 8 servings. |
