Apple Salad
Ingredients:
1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple, undrained
2/3 c. sugar
1-3 oz. pkg. lemon Jell-O
1-8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. diced unpeeled apples
1/2 to 1 c. chopped nuts ( I use pecans)
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. Cool Whip
Directions:
Add pineapple, sugar and Jell-O and boil 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add cream cheese and stir until mixture combined and smooth. Cool.
Fold in apples, nuts, celery and Cool Whip. Chill until firm.
