Hearty Chicken Bake

 

Ingredients:

3 c. mashed potatoes

1 c. shredded cheddar cheese, divided

1 (2.8oz) can French fried onions, divided

1 ½ c. cubed chicken

1 (10 oz) pkg. mixed vegetables

1 can cream of chicken soup

¼ c. milk

½ tsp. Ground mustard

¼ tsp. Garlic powder

¼ tsp. pepper

 

Directions:

Heat oven to 375 degrees.  Mix potatoes, half the cheese and half the onions in a 1 ½ qt. Casserole dish.  Spread along bottom and sides to form a shell.  Combine remaining ingredients.  Pour into shell. Bake uncovered 3 minutes or until onions are browned.  Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
