Preacher’s Cookies
3 c. minute oats
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 c. shredded coconut
2 c. sugar
½ c. cocoa
½ c. milk
¼ lb margarine (1 stick)
Mix oats, vanilla and coconut in large bowl. Combine all other ingredients in saucepan and bring to a rolling boil. Pour this mixture into dry ingredients and blend thoroughly. Drop by teaspoon onto waxed paper. Cookies are ready to eat as soon as they cool.
When the preacher drops by, these can be ready in a jiffy!!
Variation: substitute chopped pecans for coconut and add 2 tablespoons peanut butter to saucepan mix.
