A Different Pecan Pie

 

1 c. pecans – chopped

¼ c. margarine

1 can vanilla butter cream frosting

8 oz cream cheese – softened

1 c. cool whip

1 graham cracker crust

Pecan halves for top

 

Cook pecans and margarine together on medium heat until margarine is lightly brown, stirring constantly.  Pour into a heatproof bowl and add frosting and cream cheese.  Fold in cool whip.  Pour into crust and put pecan halves on top.  Refrigerate until firm – about 4 hours.
