Nine Flavor Cake
 

Ingredients:
2 sticks butter
3 C sugar
5 eggs, well beaten
3 C plain flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 C oil
1 C milk
1 tsp each flavoring- rum, brandy, lemon, coconut, butter, vanilla, banana, almond and orange

Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and oil until light and fluffy.  Add all flavorings.  Beat eggs until light and lemon colored.  Add to mixture.  Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.  Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.  Spoon mixture into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan.  Bake at 325 for 1 hr 15 min.  Pour glaze over cake when removed from oven (punch holes in cake) Let stand until cake cools.

Glaze:
1 C sugar
1/2 C water
1 tsp of the 9 flavorings (above)

Put in saucepan until sugar melts.  Pour over hot cake in pan.
