2 pounds boneless beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes 3 Tablespoons cooking oil 1 (14 ounce) can beef broth 1 cup chopped onion 1 small green bell pepper, cut into thin strips 2 Tablespoons tomato paste 2 Tablespoons paprika 2 teaspoons caraway seed 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/3 cup cold water 3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour noodles sour cream
In a Dutch oven, brown the beef in oil; add beef broth and next 7 ingredients. Mix together the cold water and flour; stir into the beef mixture. Cover and simmer until meat is tender, about 1-1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve over hot noodles and garnish with dollops of sour cream.
