1 cup milk 1/2 cup butter 1 yeast, dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water 1/2 cup sugar 2 large eggs 4 cups bread flour 1/2 tsp salt 10 cardamom seed, crushed or 1 tsp cardamom powder
Scald Milk. Add butter and let melt. Add sugar and mix in. Put into large bowl. Beat eggs and add milk and sutter and sugar. Add crushed cardamom. Add Yeast, salt and flour slowly. When flour is added, you have enough flour when mixture comes away from the bowl. Cover with a towel and let raise 2 hours in warm place. Put o floured board a knead a little. Braid into 2 loaves or any desired shape. Let raise 2 hours more. Brush with milk and sugar glaze. Bake at 350~ for 15-18 minutes. Remove and brush with glaze and sprinkle supar over top. |
