3/4 c. margarine
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour
1 pt. light sour cream
4 large eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Beat margarine and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift dry ingredients together. Add slowly to cream mixture. Mix vanilla into sour cream. Add to cake mix.
Nut Mixture:
1 1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
2 Tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Mix nut mixture with your hands and pour onto cake mix; swirl into batter slightly. Do not mix well. Pour into greased angel food cake pan and bake at 350° for 70 minutes. Cool 20 minutes before removing from pan. Place upside down on plate. Dust with powdered sugar, or mix powdered sugar and milk and pour glaze over top. |
