1/2 cup shortening 1/2 lb. butter 2 3/4 cup sugar 6 eggs 3 cups flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 cup milk 3/4 cup undrained crushed pineapple
Cream shortening, butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Slowly add flour and baking powder. Blending well. Mix vanilla with milk and add to flour mixture. Add crushed pineapple and beat well. Pour batter into prepared (greased and floured) cake pan and bake in a 350 degree oven for 35 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Start cake in cold oven. |
