With gifts of livestock, seeds and training, they help families struggling with hunger and poverty to improve their nutrition and generate income in sustainable ways. 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
1-1/4 c. chopped, toasted pecans (divided)
1 (9 in.) chocolate crumb pie crust (below)
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. dairy sour cream
1/4 c. milk
1 (3.9 oz.) box chocolate instant pudding mix
1/2 c. fudge topping
Use a premade chocolate crumb pie crust or make by crushing 1-1/2 c. chocolate sandwich cookie crumbs with 3 Tbsp. melted butter. Press into 9-inch pie plate. Bake 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes. Set aside.
Place caramels and evaporated milk in a heavy saucepan. Heat over med-low heat, stirring continually, until smooth (5 min.) Stir in 1 c. pecans and pour into pie crust. Combine cream cheese, sour cream and milk in a blender, processing until smooth. Add pudding mix; process 30 seconds. Pour over caramel layer, covering evenly. Chill, loosely covered, until set (15 minutes). Drizzle fudge topping over top in a decorative pattern; sprinkle remaining pecans on top. Chill, loosely covered, until served.
