 | Item ID: | 1389 | | Abstract: | We have always had an appreciation for adoption and admired people that were able to do so, but we never thought that we would one day be navigating the adoption process ourselves. It's amazing how God can change your plans though, and that's exactly what He did with us.
After a long hard pregnancy due to Pre-Eclampsia, Matthew was born on September 7, 2009. When he was almost two years old, we felt it was time for Matthew to be a big brother. While pregnant with Gabe, I struggled with Pregnancy Induced Hypertension. A couple of months before Gabe was born, God started tugging at our hearts and calling us to adoption, so we prayed for clarity and for God to guide us. Gabe was born on January 27, 2012. After having two beautiful boys, we were told we should not attempt another pregnancy due to the first two both being high risk. It is heartbreaking to hear that kind of news. We really wanted to have more children. We prayed for peace, understanding and guidance. That's when it all started coming together. God had closed the door on pregnancy, but He had steadily been opening the window of adoption.
From the beginning, every detail has fallen directly into place in the most amazing ways. We truly feel that God has His hands on this process, and we feel blessed to be on this journey. God has been working in our hearts, and we know that as much of a blessing as the baby will be, the journey is equally a blessing now. We are so thankful for all that God is doing in our lives and look forward to this beautiful journey. | | Contact Information: | Christy Laramore
