Box 1415 La Porte IN 46352 Cost: $10 plus $3 Shipping | Price: | $13.00 | Recipe Sample: | DOWN HOME LEMON PUDDING CAKE Frankie Grace 2 – 3 lemons 2 Tbsp. zest of lemon ½ c. lemon juice 1 box yellow cake mix 1 c. skim milk 2/3 c. sugar 2 Tbsp. cornstarch 1-1/2 c. very warm water (120 Deg.F. – 130 Deg.F.) Powdered sugar
Zest lemon. Combine cake mix, milk and lemon zest in bowl. Mix well with mixer. Pour into prepared 9 x 13 pan. Combine sugar and cornstarch in bowl. Juice lemon to yield 1/3 cup juice. Add lemon juice and warm water to sugar. Mix well. Pour lemon mix over batter. Bake at 375 Deg.F. for 40 – 45 minutes or until done. Cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. To serve, spoon warm cake into dessert bowls. Top with fresh berries.
