1 chicken 1 can potatoes 1 small onion - sauteed 1 can english peas 1 can mushrooms 1 can cream of chicken soup 2 c. chicken broth 1 tsp. flour 1 c. self-rising flour 1 c. buttermilk 1 stick margarine - melted
Cook chicken and de-bone. Place on bottom of 8x2x13 inch baking dish. Add vegetables. Mix soup, broth and 1 tsp of flour and pour over vegetables. (I use fresh potatoes and brown the onions. I also use a fresh garlic clove.) For the crust - mix the cup of flour with the buttermilk (I have used regular milk) and melted margarine. Stir together and pour over the top of the ingredients in the pan. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees until brown on top.
