Plans are underway for a community built playground to be built at the Mesick Community Recreation Field in the fall of 2005. Using the concept of an old fashioned barn raising, the community built playground project, The Enchanted River, will involve the entire community pulling together to make possible the child's workplace ~ the playground. Area children were involved in the design process which will feature the children's design ideas and artwork along with themes of cultural or historical significance to our community. Proceeds from cookbook sales will be used toward the creation of The Enchanted River playground.

2 bags of cranberries
2 seedless oranges
1 jar of marchino cherries,
quartered w/ juice
1 c. walnuts
4 c. sugar
Wash and sort cranberries. In a food processor, chop cranberries. Pour into a separate bowl. Quarter oranges with skins on and chop in food processor. Pour into bowl with cranberries. Add quartered cherries including all juice to cranberries and oranges mixture. Add diced walnuts and sugar. Mix well. Best if made several days ahead. Wonderful for Thanksgiving dinner. |
